This was either going to be a bad week or a very bad week, no room for in between.
Remember when I asked for your good wishes for this?
Well MAB (my amazing brother) got the email this morning saying he was the NUMBER ONE pick for the ENT programme here in Australia. (NO, this has nothing to do with Lord of the Rings, it's because he got on the Ear, Nose and Throat specialist training scheme)
So champagne bottles are being popped for him all over the world!
He had missed out last year by a fraction so this makes his victory all the sweeter.
I've posted a link to his family blog, so you can see his beaming smile and also so you can check out my brand new nephew who I am so looking forward to meeting soon.
He was kind enough to fly to Perth this week to be with our family and act as go between while my dad had his surgery and he was a huge comfort to us.
Secondly, my dad is really on the road to recovery. He's tired, he's sore but he's out of ICU and he's alive. I still don't have the right words to describe what those days watching him in ICU were like. I hope to. But right now. I'm still raw from it. (I can feel my dad reading this thinking: "You are raw? Ha!")

I have alot of people to thank for their support during a time when I didn't do any of my jobs very well (or at all) But I'll do that over a series of posts. I'd like to start with Nancy. You see, I'm a clicker for Lost and Found. If you aren't familiar with it, it's a wonderful place that connects women who are on journeys through everything from trying to conceive through to those who choose to live without children. I have a series of blogs I keep an eye on and post up on the site when they need support, have announcements to make or even when their birthday is coming up. Despite having her own worries at the moment, Nancy took over my job so I could just be with my family this week.
Thank you honey.
Can I direct you to my friend Danielle's page as well? She has an AMAZING giveaway going on. Apart from being a genuinely nice person, she is also very talented. And really, who doesn't want to freshen their look up sometimes? She is about to be involved in a HUGE fundraiser for a very worthy cause and needs to get the word out about her site. So please go see her. She's a click away.

And finally, thank you all for your thoughts, prayers, emails and tweets. They sustained me throughout. I remember telling you what a crybaby I was. Well I didn't lose it at all during these past weeks. I was able to be brave, to be helpful (I think) and step up. I couldn't have done that without the grace that kept me going.
I haven't forgotten "Jog Blog." It's been integral to my survival actually. Thanks Lauren. So I'll post an update on the weekend. I bet y'all are just dying to see my new runners!
