Long before my first baby was even thought of, I would tell people that I wanted  a little girl, born on Valentine's Day.  I never in a million years thought it would happen, but it's funny how things work.  My sweet baby Belle was in fact born on Valentine's Day {barely, I almost didn't make it past the 13th}, and was the sweetest surprise.

For some reason, we decided not to find out whether I was having a boy or a girl.  Talk about the longest nine months of my life!

I'd already had two little boys, and I desperately wanted a baby girl.  I refused to admit it, in fear of jinxing myself, but I thought about ribbons and ruffles every day.

However, rather than risk disappointment,  I completely convinced myself I was having another boy.

Surprise!

My Bel-Bel has been a joy.  Suddenly, I am not the only girl in a house of boys.  I have a little friend.  She bakes with me, likes to shop, and pretty much thinks I am the coolest girl around!

For her birthday this year, she picked Strawberry Shortcake as her theme, in particular Custard the Cat.

Normally, I am not big on birthday parties, but she already had it all planned out, so I arranged it.  Right down to the pink cake.

To be fair, I cheated on the cake.  It's a Rice Krispie cake. I'd never even heard of them until a few weeks ago, but it was EASY to make.  The only thing I regret is that I did not take the time to add a beaded border to the cake.  I ran out of frosting and too lazy to make more.

I made a few cookies to go with her cake, cute little Strawberry Shortcake flowers and berries, and of COURSE Custard the cat!

In honor of my sweet baby's big day, I put together this fun giveaway based on one of our favorite things to do together, BAKE!
