One of the rare, but infinitely more enjoyable because of it, things I look forward to are holidays.
Preferably ones where we get off the beaten track and just disconnect from the outside world. Our plan is to do that early next year. We’re escaping to the local island of Rottnest where cars are not allowed on the island. The only means of transport is by bike. It’s very exciting.

Well theoretically, it was very exciting especially as four out of the five family members can ride bikes. But for a while I’ve been stressing about what to do with Mr Small. He’s too big now for us to take him on a back seat of our bikes and equally his independence wouldn’t allow him to do it anyway.
But he’s not ready for a two wheeler yet.
So when The Mother Media asked me to review a Smart-Trike Zoo Collection 3in1, I was very happy. But not as happy as Mr. Small was when his daddy assembled his shiny new set of wheels.

For the over anxious mother (me) there was a safety harness AND a seatbelt. It has an umbrella to protect his little scalp from burning and oh dear Lord it has a bottle holder and play phone too.
(Excuse me mother while I make a call)
Mr. Small is at the tail end of this age group because unbelievably but also true, you can start using it with your child from the age of TEN MONTHS!!!!! This clever little trike adapts as your kids develop, from a convenient pram to a big boys trike to be used up to 24 months+, giving them more independence as their skills develop to enable them to pedal themselves.

For mums and dads looking to get something for their bub that is both practical, stylish and will last beyond Christmas Day this gets my heartfelt recommendation. And it even comes in a selection of funky animal print designs including Frog, Gallah, Butterfly and Ladybug.

So in a short time my little crew and I will take a short boat trip and spend time freewheeling across the island. While I know there will be the inevitable tumble and scraped knee for my older offspring, at least now I can rest easy that Mr. Small will be safe, sound and most importantly for him, independent.

I have received the above product for free courtesy of Smart-Trike. Yayness! To get your own super
