The previously featured ex-Brooklyn darlings are now living in Los Angeles and their second album High Places vs. Mankind means a definite turn from the duo's previous banana flavoured, scattered tropicalisms. Two months ago we were hoping it wouldn't be all dark and murky to the extent of being all corny and honky.



This time the atmosphere is indeed painted more minimalistically in black and white than splattered in pastels as their previous work. It seems like the most personal stuff we've heard from them yet. Luckily there's still room for light between the intimate sheets of the record.
